DG Patio

Terraced backyard artist retreat and hosting space. We filled it out with native plants and put in this decomposed granite patio for sunset hangs and small dance parties.

Community Veg

A horseshoe vegetable bed filled with hugelkultur materials. The vegetables from this backyard are given away to the community.

Bocce Court

This micro-homestead needed a walkway to their outdoor shower and access to the orchard, so we decided to stack functions and make it a bocce court as well!

Wildflower Meadow

This apartment unit wanted to celebrate the seasons by growing a spring wildflower garden.

Veg & Edge

Corten steel edgework gives elegance to this shady silver lake yard, and the metal contrasts beautifully with the redwood beds.

Water Sequestration

At the foot of the mountains we contoured the landscape to catch the spring runoff from large rain events. The berms and pools pacify, slow, and sink the rainfall into the ground, which feeds the native bunch grasses and flowers while mitigating erosion.
