Italian Formal
The large back lawn of this incredible property consumed tons of water, but we wanted to retain the grand, open, functional feel of the area. Our goal was to maintain the spirit of the Italian estate while updating the functionality and aesthetic. What you see is a native Kurapia lawn that needs about 10% of the water of the previous lawn. The yard was also graded to create a catchment at the foot of the concrete patio. Hillside olives interplanted with slope-stabilizing native plants.
